But before you join, you probably want to know: What exactly do I need to enroll in a forklift training course in Uganda?
The good news? You don’t need to be a genius or a driving expert. You just need a few simple things—some documents, a willing mind, and a commitment to learn.

The forklift course is open to anyone aged 18 and above—whether you’ve dropped out of school, completed S.6, or are simply looking to add a skill. Forklift driving is about practical ability, not academic qualifications.

No, a driving permit is not required to start forklift training. Forklifts operate differently from cars, and we train you from scratch—even if you’ve never driven anything before.

Yes, we teach in Swahili, English, and some Luganda. Many students from upcountry and outside Uganda join successfully without fluent English.
Do I need prior experience to enroll?
No experience needed. We train you from the basics—even if you’ve never sat on a machine before.
Is there a job after training?
We don’t promise jobs, but we connect our graduates to companies, especially in logistics, construction, and warehousing.
How long does forklift training take?
Training takes 1–2 weeks, depending on your learning pace. We focus on hands-on practice every day.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Once you complete the course and pass our assessments, you’ll receive a recognized certificate from Machinery Training Uganda.
I live far from Kampala. Can I still train?
Absolutely. We offer hostel accommodation with free meals and beds, so distance should never stop you from learning.
What if I miss a requirement like ID or boots?
Talk to us. We’ll guide you on how to get the item or help you adjust. Our goal is to help you succeed, not punish you.
I’m from another country. Can I join the course?
